It’s that time of year when the air is crisp, the foliage is popping with color and family photos are in high demand. Fall is like no other here in Maine and Wells Reserve at Laudholm is one of my favorite places to capture the essence of autumn with families…and what better way than with a mini session!
Sugar and spice and all things nice!
There’s no better compliment as a family photographer than being asked to photograph a growing child over the years. I met this sweet, spunky girl last year, and just like the year prior, our session was filled with lots of giggles, chasing her with my camera, twirling and playing on the bed! Winter in Maine isn’t always the most ideal setting for a portrait session outside, especially without snow, so when I was asked to capture this little ballerina, we headed to my mom’s historical saltbox house which is filled with so much color and playful patterns…perfect for a little girl’s portrait session!
The 365 Project {2020}: December
I (we) made it!!! It’s officially the last day of 2020 and I’m so ready for it.
Today also marks my last photograph of my 365 {366} project of 2020!!! One photo taken each day of this year. This project has been a labor of love and I’m excited to look back through all of photos of this year and share my favorite photos of 2020 with all of you.
But today is December 31st, which means tomorrow is a new year and new start! And man was this month a busy one. I’m not even sure if I accurately documented it each day. But that’s okay, because sometimes life happens without my camera by my side and I’ve learned through this project that not every day is perfectly documented- I mean just finding the time to cull through all my photos and edit them is an achievement in itself. More on my project goals, achievements and misses on a later date because this mom right here needs to clean, pack and organize to bring in the new year.
So here’s my thirty-one days of December 2020…
